Come prep for Halloween with our dirty-hands workshop. After setting the scene with coffee, we’ll “punch-down” fermenting reds then play with some fanciful lab equipment. Of course, we will be tasting fermenting wine as we go.

The juice for red wine is fermented on its skin to extract flavour, tannin and colour. To help the yeast stay healthy, several times a day we “punch down” the skins that float to the surface. It’s a messy job, so come prepared to get dirty.
