We are thrilled to welcome David Johanns to The Speakeasy to play a classic Piano Bar on the fourth Friday of each month.

David is a versatile pianist, singer, composer, comic and sailor—a professional storyteller whose career has spanned from piano bars and cruise ships to remote anchorages throughout the Caribbean.

Drawing inspiration from legendary performers, David’s repertoire spans the timeless music of Frank Sinatra mixed with adult contemporary staples like Billy Joel, Elton John, and Van Morrison. His performances are best known for being audience-driven, blending quick wit and spontaneous improvisation to create an intimate atmosphere that feels more like an evening among friends than just a concert.

In 2023, David sailed his 40-foot trimaran, The Sailing Piano, from Canada to the Bahamas, where his floating concerts attracted hundreds of boaters throughout the Exuma Islands. He has now brought that same spirit of adventure along with his famous boat to Prince Edward County, and incidentally charters The Sailing Piano for private sailing, sunset cruises, and live music on the water.
