We are thrilled to welcome David Johann to our Speakeasy to play a classic Piano Bar on the fourth Friday of each month. 

David is a versatile pianist, singer, composer, and sailor—a professional storyteller whose career has spanned from piano bars and cruise ships to remote anchorages throughout the Caribbean.

Drawing inspiration from legendary performers, David’s repertoire features the timeless music of Frank Sinatra mixed with adult contemporary staples like Billy Joel, Elton John, and Van Morrison. His performances are best known for being audience-driven, blending quick wit and spontaneous improvisation to create an intimate atmosphere that feels more like an evening among friends than a traditional concert.

In 2023, David sailed his 40-foot trimaran, The Sailing piano, from Canada to the Bahamas, where his floating piano concerts attracted hundreds of boaters throughout the Exumas. Having personally rebuilt much of the vessel himself, he now brings that same spirit of adventure to Prince Edward County. Guests are invited to step aboard The Sailing piano for private sailing charters, sunset cruises, and live music on the water.

It’s not every day you meet a piano player who arrives by sailboat.
