Wassail continues the age-old tradition of celebrating the completion of harvest before the arrival of winter. Merrymakers travel from estate to estate, singing, feasting and, of course,
quenching their thirst with local libations.
In Prince Edward County, after we rush to barrel-down all the wine and bury the vines in order to withstand the cold winter, we celebrate by pouring out libations to the gods to thank them for the harvest. Once all the work is done, it’s time to party and everyone is invited.
Come celebrate Wassail at Karlo Estates on the last two weekends of November and the first weekend of December.

Come sing your heart out in our Speakeasy Wine Lounge. Singers of all levels are welcome and encouraged to share their talent in the spotlight with everyone. Enjoy wine by the glass and local good eats to strengthen your courage.
Saturday, Nov 19th - Dinner and a Show with Brian Macmillan
Come listen to Brian Macmillan in our opulent Speakeasy and experience a three-flight wine tasting perfectly paired to delicious handcrafted cuisine. Our “Dinner and a Show” tasting is your chance to sample wines led by vintner Sherry Karlo paired with a handcrafted one-plate meal of plant-based 'eatloaf' with mushroom gravy and a fresh side salad.
Sunday, Nov 20th - Sunday Pancake Bubble Brunch
From 11AM-5PM join us for buckwheat pancakes topped with yogurt, fresh fruit, and local maple syrup, as well as coffee or tea. Also enjoy a refreshing glass of new 2021 Bubble sparkling wine or mimosa. Our last vintage (2020) of Bubble earned a Gold Medal in its first vintage at the All Canadian Wine Championships and our winemakers feel this one is even better.

Karlo Estates will be serving Fauxmagerie Zengarry fondue with a three flight wine tasting.

Also on Friday night, join us in our Speakeasy Wine Lounge for a performance-packed trivia night hosted by Rowena Whey, a drag queen performance artist who will keep you on your toes, with prizes to be won each round. Ticket holders will receive a 4-flight tasting to enjoy while playing. Our regular wine by-the-glass and food menu will also be available.
Saturday, Nov 26th - Dinner and Show with Elmwood Harmony
This week’s “Dinner and a Show” features Elmwood Harmony and the tasting is your chance to sample wines led by Vintner, Sherry Karlo paired with a handcrafted one-plate meal. This week's dinner will consist of Mushroom Fettuccini Alfredo & Italian garden salad. Enjoy an intimate evening of wine and food, while listening to live folk music in our speakeasy.

Don't miss out on our Friday night wine lounge featuring musician Andrew Gardiner & friends filling the speakeasy with lively music. Andrew and friends will be performing each other’s original works in a song circle with some favorite covers thrown in. A three ounce glass of our 2021 Bubble reception wine will be awaiting you at the door. Wine is also available by the glass as well as our regular menu and our special home-made stew of the week.
